FREE GIFT! Your Opportunity to Accept Christ

This opportunity will change your life—forever!
You might say ‘Why do I need to accept Christ?’. What does that mean? What do I have to do?
Accepting Christ is believing Him – Jesus – and trusting Him with your life; loving Him, and following Him. Jesus came for one reason… To save us from eternal death by dying for us – YOU and ME! Why? Because we are sinners – which means we have all broken one or more of God’s commandments.
But you might say:

  • I am a good person. Why do I need Jesus?
  • I go to church – isn’t that enough?
  • I am too bad to be saved.
  • I can’t possibly live like that.
  • I just need to straighten some things out first.
  • I’m too young, I’m too old.

You may think you are a ‘good’ person but…
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 3:23
…no one does good, not even one.
Romans 3:12b

Going to church is not enough either.
For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9

You are ‘too bad’ you say?
For I came not to call the righteous, but sinners.
Matthew 9:13b
This saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
1 Timothy 1:15a

Jesus did not come to save the ‘good’ people – He came to save sinners.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9

Too young? Too old? Life mixed-up right now?
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28
…behold, now is the favorable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
2 Corinthians 6:2b

Ok..now what? How can you accept Jesus Christ – to be forgiven, to have eternal life…?

  • Acknowledge that we are all sinners and need forgiveness.
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
    ~Romans 3:23
  • Admit your sins and repent – You must admit to God that you are a sinner and confess your sins to Him.
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
    1 John 1:9
Repent therefore, and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out.
    Acts 3:19
Not only do we need to confess our sins, we need to repent – meaning to turn away from them.
  • Believe that Jesus is the son of the living God and that He died for your sins.
But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
    Romans 5:8
  • Receive Jesus as Lord and surrender your life to Him.
Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.
    Romans 10:9

Are you ready to take the most important step of your life?
If you are and you understand what you have read, then all you have to do is ask Him to save you. Pray the prayer that follows or use your own words from your heart.

“Dear Lord Jesus,
I know that I am a sinner and that I am separated from you. I believe that you died for me on the cross and rose again to give eternal life. I ask you to forgive me of my sins and take total control of my life. I invite you Jesus to live in my heart. Thank You for saving me and making me your child.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”

Now that you have prayed the prayer, what’s next?
Welcome to God’s family!
The next step is to tell someone about your new faith in Christ. Find a local church to help you grow in your faith, to worship, and for fellowship with other believers. Spend time with God every day by reading and studying the Bible, praying to God to help you grow in your faith and trust in Him.
Remember that salvation is a gift and a way of life. God has given us this plan because He loves us so much and does not wish that we should perish-but live forever…

Yes, Eric, I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. Please pray for me.
